Lara Malcolm

Lara has over 20 years experience in organising meetings and conferences. She has had extensive involvement with a large range of meetings and clients as a conference manager. Her experience has been in running scientific, academic and professional meetings with a variety of clients in a range of venues both locally, interstate and within New Zealand. In 2004 she established the[meeting]people and is a current member of the PCO Association.

What she loves the most about her job is the creative interaction with a large variety of industries, people and events. Her enthusiasm for creating success stories with each individual meeting is testament to her ability to work co-operatively with a large range of personalities. Lara has a Bachelor of Management from the University of South Australia. Her current passion is to create more sustainable events. This allows her clients to engage in making a difference to the way they run their events that has a real impact. Some of these changes involve community engagement or being aware of the local environment and local providers in the destination that their event is hosted. Lara believes that just a little bit of change goes a long way in creating long term benefits to the community, the environment or positive relationships.
